In the poem by Claudio Moica, another guest of World Poetry Day, the pain along with the passion of living is vivid. Verses that bring us all back to the emotions of the heart, to the memory of what it was and sometimes was not and, therefore, that feeling made of universal emotions that take our belly back to our tragedy of frightened and elusive lovers. But all this happens, as it must be in the great poetry, taking all the responsibilities of every action, without putting aside the hope that, in reflecting this, we can improve.

Ricordo
eravamo dimentichi di noi
di
quell’aurora che ci colpì alle spalle
che
ancora non morivamo di sguardi
ma
soli accompagnavamo la morte.
Avevamo
le mani nascoste al desiderio
e
la pelle ancora non mutava
ogni
cosa era lì come ogni giorno
come
tanto
da sprecarti in una lacrima.
Riguardati
- mi dicesti all’imbrunire -
da
allora mi perdo in questo specchio
dove
mi guardo, mi riguardo
e
Kujtoj
që ne e kishim harruar
atë
agim që na goditi pas shpine
megjithatë
nuk vdiqëm nga shikimet
por
vetëm shoqëronim vdekjen.
I kishim duart të fshehura
dëshirës
dhe lëkura ende nuk
ndryshonte
çdo gjë ishte aty si çdo
ditë
sikur nuk jetonte, sikur nuk
kishte egzistuar kurrë.
Kush
e di nëse gjuhët tona
janë
dashur aq shumë
sa
u deshën sytë
aq
sa ta derdhje një lot.
Kujdes veten - më pate thënë
ndaj të ngrysur –
prej
atëhere humbas në këtë pasqyrë
ku
shihem dhe përsëri shihem
dhe
nuk e zbuloj kurrë ku u fsheh e falura jote.
I remember we were oblivious of ourselves
of the dawn that beat upon our backs
longing gazes did not yet provoke our death
but only followed in its wake.
Our hands were deep within desire
and our skin still was not changing
everything there was as it was each day
as if unliving, as if it never existed.
Who knows if our tongues
ever loved each other
the way our eyes did
so much as to waste a tear on you.
Take care – you said at dusk -
for now I lose myself inside this mirror
where I regard myself, and then once more
and I’ll never find where therein your pardon lies.
Sono stato cieco e sordo
per toccarti le labbra al buio
immaginare i suoni del piacere
cercarti come vagabondo nelle isole assolate.
Mentre dormo senza riposo
sento i tuoi passi silenziosi
dove prendi nuovi respiri
dandomi aria e sguardi illuminati.
Perché non sei che un filo spezzato.

Kam qenë i
I
humbur në mes vagonash që vetëm ulërijnë
kisha
harruar biletën e kthimit
ajo
ndoshta
tërheq larg shpresat.
Por
une preferoj të qëndroj këtu
midis thonjëzave të
mendimeve të tua
ku merr frymëmarrje të reja
duke më dhënë ajër dhe
shikime të ndritshme.
Pasi tashmë je vëtëm një
fije e këputur.
I was blind and deaf
to touch your lips in the dark
to imagine the sounds of pleasure
to search for you, a vagabond on sunny isles.
Losing myself among the train-cars’ wailing
I’ve forgotten my return ticket
for the departure I’d paid quite a price
and I’ve no means left to get you back.
While I sleep without rest
I hear your silent steps
but only just now, bare-footed
across the empty rooms of you.
I retrace the footprints that you left behind
and feel the warmth of your embrace.
No longer are you in my rusted hands
maybe you’re spiriting my hopes away.
But I prefer this place
between the commas of your thoughts
where you take new breaths
giving me air and illuminating stares.
For which you’re naught but a broken thread
I was blind and deaf
to touch your lips in the dark
to imagine the sounds of pleasure
to search for you, a vagabond on sunny isles.
Losing myself among the train-cars’ wailing
I’ve forgotten my return ticket
for the departure I’d paid quite a price

But I prefer this place

where you take new breaths
giving me air and illuminating stares.
For which you’re naught but a broken thread
Ho bevuto dalle
tue labbra
tutto d’un sorso
e ubriaco di vita e di sangue
sfioro il tuo corpo offerto dagli
dei.
È un sussulto pronunciare il tuo
nome
che non smette di bussare al
mattino
non dorme più la luna a occidente
e insegue veloce la tua luce.
Tu radice e fiore prepotente
in questa luna che invecchia tra
le dita
ricorda il mio tempo sottile
quello che non ti ho regalato
quello che ho conservato per i
tuoi giovani anni.
Poi lascia che io dorma tra te
un sonno dipinto dalle ali
e solo in volo resuscitami dal
buio dei giorni
dammi la pace del tuo sguardo.
Kam
pirë nga buzët e tua
të
gjithën me një gllënkë
dhe i dehur me jetë dhe me
gjak
prek trupin tënd të ofruar
nga perënditë.
Është një fërgëllim
shqiptimi i emrit tënd
që nuk pushon së trokituri në
mëngjes
nuk fle më hëna në perëndim
dhe ndjek shpejt dritën
tënde.
Ti
rrënjë dhe lule e fuqishme
në
këtë hënë që vjetërohet midis gishtash
më kujton kohën time të
hollë
atë që nuk ta kam dhuruar
atë që e kam ruajtur për
vitet tua të reja.
Pastaj midis teje më lerë të
fle
një gjumë të ngjyruar nga
flatra
nga muzgu i ditëve më
ringjall në fluturim
jepmë vetëm paqen e shikimit
tënd.
I drank from your lips
all in one gulp
drunk on life and blood
I caress your body offered by the gods.
‘Tis a tremor to pronounce your name
that never stops knocking in the morning
the moon sleeps no more in the West
and hotly pursues your light.
You, bewitching root and flower,
in this moon that ages in the hand
remember this brief time of mine
that I didn’t give to you
that I saved for your younger years.
So leave me to sleep between you
a dream painted by wings
revive me from the day’s darkness in flight
give me the peace of your gaze.
